Robert and Carl Kopp began K & K Fence in January of 1967. These two brothers had a vision of providing central Indiana with quality fence products and workmanship. They started their venture on a small scale by installing fence for homeowners and providing the public with an over-the-counter service to purchase fencing materials.
On March 1, 1983 Fred Poe, President, and Terry Snyder, Secretary/Treasurer, purchased K & K Fence Inc. from the Kopp brothers. Fred had served the fence industry on the wholesale end since 1975. Terry had worked on the retail side of the fence industry as a subcontractor since 1970. Upon merging wholesale experience with retail experience, a new K & K developed. Fred and Terry chose to keep the established name of K & K because of the respected reputation the Kopp's had earned. As Fred and Terry began their new adventure with K & K Fence, they had only a few employees, some experience and a big dream. Their plan to grow K & K Fence began with over-the-counter sales and as a result provided the community with quality fence materials. They soon began to expand on the other areas of the company as well in the residential and commercial installation. After 30yrs in the fence industry, Terry Snyder retired in 2008.
Our staff has extended experience in installing fence for tennis courts and baseball diamonds. Our residential expertise includes installation of ornamental iron fence around swimming pools, custom wood privacy fencing, PVC and vinyl chain link fence. To date, our workforce has continued to grow as well as our revenue per year and the quality and recognition of our products as well. We won the 2002, 2006, and 2007 Consumer’s Choice Award.
